Hayden led the Oilers as their captain and main striker just two seasons ago. He is currently still playing soccer at Fullerton Junior College, where the Hornets are on pace to clinch the league title soon.

Hayden began coaching at Dwyer while he was still in school at HBHS. His first year as the 7th grade head coach, he managed to win the title for the Junior Oilers. The following year he was promoted to the head coach of the 8th grade Dwyer team.

Determined to be Champions

Varsity is coached by program director, Matthew Moseley. Matt graduated from HBHS in 1999 as captain of the first league championship soccer team for the Oilers. After high school, he led OCC to the state championship and then received a scholarship to play for UCI. While at OCC, Matt began coaching the Frosh/Soph team at HBHS. The next year, he was moved up to the head coach of JV. The following year he became the Assistant Varsity coach, and finally, the year after that, was named the Head Varsity coach. In his four years as Head Varsity coach of HBHS, he made the playoffs three times, making it to quarterfinals of CIF twice.
